Workplace Assessments
Work Station Assessments
Musculo-skeletal disorders are the most common occupational illness in Great Britain, affecting 1 million people a year.
They include problems such as low back pain, joint injuries and repetitive strain injuries.
Taking care of our bodies can not only improve well-being, but can reduce the number of working days lost through poor health.
DSE Work Station Assessments
We provide on-site DSE (display screen equipment) work station assessments.
This enables DSE users to minimise the stress associated with seated posture and computer use.
Most commonly this takes the form of the short DSE assessment, suitable as a risk assessment activity and an initial screen of employees.
This is an effective process taking approximately 40 minutes per employee. Each user’s assessment form contains a summary of recommended actions for the individual and the employer and also includes an eye test.
Advanced DSE Work Station Assessments
We also offer advanced DSE assessments taking into account pre-existing medical conditions and injury to provide solutions to ongoing occupational stress. This process takes approximately 1 hour.
The purpose of this is to understand the individuals’ problem in the context of their working environment. This allows specific ergonomic, therapeutic and rehabilitation measures to be implemented.
